At long last, the frame of my motocross YZ450fm is finally finished and ready for assembly. this one takes about 8 hours to assemble (one hour a day and about 8 days to complete).

The left side of the frame with the remote of the TV on the back.

Right side of the frame and still the TV remote at the back.. hehehehe...

Still the right side but the engine is mounted in its proper place.

Front left side of the frame including the engine.

Soon, I will post the finish product as it ready for assembly and just waiting for me to have time. May be a week or two, my first paper craft will soon be finished and with the way it looks now, I am sure that I will be very satisfied with its outcome.

4th Part of the YZ450fm

After spending days of cutting, folding, and pasting, i finally finished the most important part of the motorcycle - the engine. The powerhouse is complete with kick start, gear shifter, block, cylinder head, engine covers, and even the sprocket cover.

Left side of the engine where the gear shifter is located.

Right side of the powerhouse where you can see the kick start and the two cylinders.

Here is the front side view where the exhaust pipe should be located.

The finish product is coming near. Just wait and see what would it be like as a whole. Next post will be the frame of the motorcycle...

After days of serious paper crafting, I finally finished another part of my Yamaha YZ450fm motorcycle.

This is the radiator which is detailed including fins and connecting body. A little more time and i will soon finish the mono shock and the exhaust canister... It is tiring to do such small crafts but I think I will surely love to see if it is finished...

1st Part of the YZ450FM

After weeks of sitting my butt in the chair and enjoying the moments by cutting papers and pasting all the pieces, I have finally completed one, I mean two parts of this motorcycle.

This is the front steering wheel fitted with front wheel. I didn't get its dimension but looking at the picture, you can see that it is big enough to be displayed in a shelf or anywhere. This is complete with front disc brakes, guards, and even the fluid brake reservoir.

The image shown above is the bike stand. Since the YZ450FM is a dirt bike, putting a center stand is not necessary due to its characteristic. So if you want to do something with this bike, you will need this. But in this paper craft, the stand will be used as a means to display the bike.

Next, i will soon post the finished rear assembly with rear wheel.

Dying to have one – Honda CBR 150

One of my dream bikes is the Honda CBR, not the big bikes you see in motogp but only the CBR 150. This motorcycle is a sport road bike that has racing features similar to those used in moto sports but without the powerful engines.

Technically, the Honda CBR 150 is only a 149.4 cc motorcycle with a 4 stroke, DOC 4 valves engine. For faster heat dissipation, it utilizes a water cooling system with a small radiator located under the fuel tank. It also has a 6 speed / gear transmission that allows you to run up to 150 kph.

Though it only has a 150cc engine, my friend from a forum site named Motorcycle Philippines (MCP) said that this simple beast can run more than 150 kph with or without any modifications. By having one, you can experience to be motogp racers like Valentino Rossi.

My new hobby - paper craft

Making paper planes are among the paper crafts during childhood years. However, when you grow old, paper crafts are getting more complicated, should need skilled hands, and of course better concentration to do the get the pieces correctly. Paper craft, as it name implies, is an art, models, or toys that are constructed from paper materials. Normally done for hobby, it also started to gain revenue to professional craftsman and hobby shops.
Paper crafts are among the most popular hobbies these days. And because of its popularity, I also have engaged in this kind of art. Now, I’m starting to build a Yamaha YZ450fm which I got in the Yamaha website. I will post here the progress of my project. However, it will take time to finish the project as I don’t have the free time to do the work often.

So stay tuned guys and I will soon post finished projects.

Smoking kills…

According to World Health Organization (WHO), it is about a third of male adult in the world smokes. It is also said that about 80 to 100 thousand of kids ages 10 – 17 starts smoking everyday. With such data at hand, it is very alarming especially to non smoking parents that your kids will start to smoke at an early age. And once they have started smoking, quitting is difficult due to some addictive reasons.

Normally, smoking can harm nearly every organ in human body like lungs and heart. And though the theory of reducing of about 10 minutes of your life in each cigarette is not true, but it will cost you about 50 to 90% of your retirement pay due to the damages that are acquired thru smoking.

As printed in most labels of cigarette packs, “smoking kills”. It affects your body from head to feet without your knowing though it has permission from you.

  • Smoking basically speeds up brain declination which is found at least five times faster than normal. Due to the carbon monoxide generated by cigarette – similar to those gases emitted by vehicles – it revokes the flow of oxygen to the brain causing it to deteriorate faster which lead to memory loss and reduce a person’s ability to judge their actions.
  • Among the deadliest cause of smoking is mouth and throat cancer. According to WHO, almost 90% of those victims are smokers. Symptoms may include constant sore throat, nose swelling, sticky cough, loss of voice, and traces of blood when coughing.
  • Tar starts to build up in your teeth causing some visible, permanent stains. The yellowish color can only be removed with the help of professional dental service. Aside from yellowish color, it can also make your gums weaker and bad breath in the long run. The only solution is frequent brushing of teeth using herbal toothpaste.
  • Lung cancer is considered as the most harmful and destructive effect of smoking. Each cigarette you smoke a portion in your lungs that are called air sacks are covered with smoke and eventually die. This is permanent and it won’t grow back like nails. Since lungs play crucial role in cleaning your system, this ability will be gone and eventually cause cancer.

This article does not prevent you from smoking or tells you to stop now. The decision is still up to you and it is your right to do what is good for your health. It only shows the possible causes of smoking and draws attention to those kids who wants to try smoking and possibly disregard the idea.
